About Alicia
Alicia Díaz-David is a parent, teacher, and Montessori practitioner. She is also the founder of Teach Learn Montessori. Alicia helps parents & educators deepen their understanding of the Montessori philosophy and simplify the approach in order to implement Montessori at home, in a classroom, or for homeschool.
Alicia became interested in Montessori when her daughter was born and she wanted something more than toys and baby gadgets. Alicia read everything she could in order to learn about this amazing philosophy and eventually made the decision to undergo training and become a certified Montessori guide.
Prior to Montessori, Alicia was a public school teacher, district coach, and reading consultant. Montessori changed Alicia’s approach to parenting and education and now she supports parents that are interested in learning more but are not sure how to get started or keep going.
Description of Services:
At the heart of Teach Learn Montessori is the effort to help parents learn about Montessori and get support in their Montessori journey. This is why Alicia, founder of Teach Learn Montessori, began this work by offering free information sessions to parents & educators interested in learning more. These information sessions are now pre-recorded and available on-demand at TeachLearnMontessori.org.
One of the questions parents often ask is about helping children learn to read. The Montessori Guide to Teaching Reading is a course for parents that want to help their children learn to read and succeed but may not be sure where to start, or what to do next. This course breaks down process of learning to read in to 6 simple steps and uses the time-tested Montessori approach, which is both hands on and engaging.
