About Kelly
Kelly Johnson (BFA, MA, AMS 6-9) believes everyone can draw and everyone has a green thumb - they just need to be set up for success. That’s why Wings, Worms, and Wonder aims to help and inspire humans to creatively connect with the natural right outside their doors through academically integrated arts and gardening experiences. An artist, author, nature journaling guide, Montessorian, and children's garden educator, Kelly brings over 20 years of teaching experience to each of her creative nature connection endeavors.
Whether the homeschool room or the classroom, Wings, Worms, and Wonder’s resources help you discover your perfect path to cross-curricular creative nature connection success by meeting your needs as both parent and teacher. Kelly shares her love of art, gardening, and nature through her 5 books, Wonder Wednesday blog, art & illustrations, garden workshops, and nature journaling classes and eCourses - all housed within her socially and environmentally responsible little company, Wings, Worms, and Wonder.
Description of Services
Wings, Worms, and Wonder is a little company that helps humans build unshakeable love and connections with the natural world through the arts and organic gardening. My goal with this work is to help adults create experiential learning opportunities that weave nature across early childhood and elementary curricula and life. With the end result being a healthy happy people and planet for generations to come!
Through 5 books, 2 writing prompt decks, Wonder Wednesday activity blog and emails, inperson workshops, online classes, illustrations, and consultations, Wings, Worms, and Wonder offerings help humans of all ages build ecological literacy while gaining the skills and confidence to slow down and make space for creative nature connection. Wings, Worms, and Wonder’s resources and offerings aim to help, inspire, and spark wonder in humans of all ages to creatively connect with the natural world right outside their doors - be they at home, school, or community!
From the nature journal, to the kitchen, to the garden, and back to the classroom, with practical, and applicable inter-disciplinary lesson plans and resources, Montessorians are set up for success. Weave the natural world and arts through all curricula threads and instill connection, love, and understanding in ecologically literate students for a lifetime.
