Sharlie Burnie
About Sharlie
Since beginning her teaching career in early childhood classrooms in 2008, Sharlie has spent over a decade guiding children of all backgrounds. She earned her undergraduate degree in Child Psychology & Development and a diploma in Special Needs Support before discovering the Montessori approach to education in 2012.
Trained in both the first and second plane of development, she has taught respectively in the 3-6, 6-9, and 9-12 Montessori environments. When outside of the classroom, Sharlie works as a professional 1-1 mentor in her “Montessori Mentorship” program to guide adults seeking to deepen their Montessori knowledge. Sharlie is a passionate artist and storyteller and enjoys bringing these passions into her work with children & adults.
