About Kari
Kari Nowosielski is an AMS Certified 6-9 teacher that taught for over a decade before becoming a stay-at-home mom and raising her two young boys in her Montessori-inspired home. She has a BA in traditional Elementary Education and MEd in Elementary Education with a focus on Montessori. She has taught in two inner-city Public Montessori schools and three Private Montessori schools in three different states in the USA, which gives her a very unique experience in following the needs of all types of learners and families. She has worked with newborns through age 13, primarily having 6 to 12-year-old students.
In 2018, Kari created Stella Nova Montessori, a consulting business that focuses on parent education, guiding parents towards creating a Montessori environment at home, and helping parents to homeschool. She can provide a connection between traditional elementary learning and Montessori; Montessori materials can supplement and complement traditional learning in a fun way!
In 2020, she joined Smart Ways to Play, a Montessori-inspired, play based learning at home curriculum for parents and children ages 18 months through the preschool years. It’s a fantastic, easy way to experience Montessori at home without the worry of starting from scratch. In her free time, she loves photography, nature, creating digital art, reading and yoga.
She lives with her two boys, husband, cat and fish in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut.
